Enzo Maccarinelli has been lined up for a British title eliminator later in 2012.

He will take on Bob Ajisafe with the winner of the light-heavyweight bout set to take on British Champion Tony Bellew.

Before that the Swansea boxer is due to fight on the Nathan Clerverly undercard.

But an opponent for that that 25 January bill at Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff has yet to be confirmed.

Leeds-based Ajisafe, 26, has won nine of his 11 professional fights.

In November 2011 former world champion Maccarinelli needed only 91 seconds to secure a debut win at light-heavyweight on his return to the ring.

The Welsh boxer dropped down from cruiserweight to rebuild his career and made light work of previously unbeaten opponent Gyorgy Marosi at York Hall, Bethnal Green.

Maccarinelli sought to impress after a 14-month absence and it was his 33rd win in 38 bouts.

Swansea's Maccarinelli has promised to become the first Welshman to regain a world title.
