Warren criticises British boxing board
- From the section Boxing
Boxing promoter Frank Warren has defended the right of his fighter Dereck Chisora to fight former heavyweight champion David Haye in July.
Chisora had his licence withdrawn following a brawl with Haye at a news conference in Munich earlier this year.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 live Warren was responding to the British Boxing Board of Control's (BBBoC) condemnation of the fight and threat to remove the licence of anyone involved.
The 60-year-old insists that Chisora is only following the instructions of the BBBoC who did not ban him and told him he could get a licence from another professional body.
