Frampton winning mind games - McGuigan

Carl Frampton's manager Barry McGuigan says the Belfast fighter is winning the pre-fight psychological battle against Scott Quigg as they prepare for their super-bantamweight world title unification bout in Manchester on Saturday.

Speaking after an at times fractious weigh-in on Friday, McGuigan insisted that the Frampton camp had manufactured the row with Quigg over the 'home dressing-room' which blew up on Thursday.

"We knew that the dressing-room business annoyed him so we kept it up until now," said McGuigan, who added that Quigg will get his way over the issue on Saturday night.

"We weren't interested in it at all but Scott Quigg is one of those superstitious guys who has to have all his ducks in order.

"It's a psychological game and we played it until the nth degree."

Tempers flared at the weigh-in as respective trainers Shane McGuigan and Joe Gallagher pushed each other before order was restored.
