London 2012 Olympic bronze medallist Anthony Ogogo will fight for his first pro title when he takes on Craig Cunningham in Birmingham on 22 October.

Ogogo, 27, and Cunningham, 28, will clash for the vacant WBC International Middleweight belt on the undercard of Frankie Gavin and Sam Eggington.

Lowestoft's Ogogo has struggled with Achilles and shoulder injuries for the past two years.

Since his comeback from the latter in May, he has won three straight fights.

"I'm feeling fitter and stronger than I ever have done before and am looking forward to getting in the ring on fight night and doing the business," said Ogogo, ahead of his fight against Midlands Area Middleweight title holder Cunningham.

"I am fiercely ambitious and determined to reach the very top of this sport but know that I can't look beyond Cunningham.

"He is a good fighter with a good record but I am completely focused on what I need to do to win that belt."
