BBC Sport - Michael Conlan predicts quick victory in professional debut in New York

Conlan ready for pro debut in New York

Former amateur star Michael Conlan says he is thrilled to be making his professional debut on a St Patrick's Day bill at New York's Madison Square Garden on Friday.

"All I've got to focus on is performing. Because if I perform, no one can beat me," said the 25-year-old Belfastman, who will take on little-known American Tim Ibarra.

The Northern Irishman won a bronze medal for Ireland at the 2012 Olympics.
