Cornwall beaten by Wales in MCCA Trophy opener


Cornwall suffered a disappointing start to their MCCA Trophy campaign as they went down by eight wickets against Wales in Abergavenny.

Cornwall were dismissed for a paltry 139 in 33.3 overs, captain Tom Sharp top-scoring with 55 as Aneurin Norman took 4-27.

Wales only lost two wickets in their reply, reaching the required target inside 27 overs.

Opener Daniel Roberts hit 67 not out for Wales, with Dion Holden scoring 52.
