Yorkshire hold the advantage going into the final day after a rain-disrupted afternoon at Headingley.

Ajmal Shahzad completed a five-wicket haul but Hampshire avoided a follow-on threat, to be bowled out for 232.

Yorkshire then reached 62-3 second time around, Joe Root providing half their score, as the Tykes stretched their lead to 185.

Shahzad (5-65) was earlier well backed by fellow England pacemen Tim Bresnan (2-41) and Ryan Sidebottom (3-45).
