Devon beat Cheshire by three wickets to go second

Devon made hard work of their final day target to beat Cheshire by three wickets at Torquay in the Minor Counties Championship.

Needing just a further 61 runs to win, Devon made their target for the loss of seven wickets.

Rob Holman's 38 was the only score above 15 for the hosts, who go second in the MCCA Western division table.

"We've had two good wins in the past two games," captain Neil Hancock told BBC Radio Devon.

And Hancock is confident that his side can continue their winning ways ahead of the away game at Wiltshire next week.

"We've got a chance to go away to Corsham now and follow it up with another victory and get us ready for the two home games to finish," he said.
