Guernsey missed out on a place in the World Twenty20 global qualifier after losing to Denmark by 58 runs in the ICC European Division One semi-finals.

After opting to bat at the FB Fields, Denmark made 136-4 off their 20 overs.

In response, Guernsey never got going, only Tim Ravenscroft and Kris Moherndl getting into double figures.

Guernsey were already struggling before Syed Bashir Shah took three wickets in one over, the island side eventually being all out for 78 in 18.2 overs.

Guernsey now face fellow Channel Islanders Jersey in the third/fourth place play-off, following their 14 run loss to Italy at Farmers Field.
