England must stay positive against India - Samit Patel
England all-rounder Samit Patel says the team must remain positive despite two heavy defeats from their first two one-day internationals in India.
The Nottinghamshire star scored 42 in the second game in Delhi but England were easily beaten by their hosts.
Patel told BBC Sport: "The [five-match] series is still alive and we need to put the first two games behind us and get a win in Mohali [on Thursday].
"We have not been good enough but we have to have a positive vibe."
He added: "We started off the tour pretty well in the two warm-up games.
"Obviously the opposition weren't as good as the Indians and it's been pretty tough but we have to keep doing the right stuff.
"They are playing in their own backyard and we knew what the conditions would be like over here and they know the conditions better than us.
"We have a great team spirit and we stay tight we want to play good, hard cricket."
