Brearley promises to fight corruption

Former England captain Mike Brearley, who is chairman of the MCC World Cricket committee (MCCWCC) says corruption in the sport will "probably not be eradicated" but insists those in power must "devise new strategies".

The MCCWCC has called for life bans for captains, vice-captains and coaches found guilty of corruption and, in total, has made 10 recommendations to help fight foul play, including anti-corruption clauses in playing contracts, making sure punishments at international level are mirrored at domestic level and "mystery shopper" operations.
