Pakistan won't abandon Amir - PCB chief
- From the section Cricket
The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board Zaka Ashraf tells BBC Sport's cricket correspondent Jonathan Agnew on Test Match Special that they would like to bring Mohammad Amir back into the team and will offer him psychiatric help. Amir was released from jail on Wednesday after serving half of a six-month sentence for his part in a fixing scam.
Since taking up the position, Ashraf says he has helped put in place various measures to combat corruption. The former politician and bank executive says he has also worked hard to rebuild the morale of the team since his appointment in October last year.
