Farmers go top of Jersey Twenty20 Premier League

Farmers moved two points clear at the top of the Twenty20 Premier League by beating St Ouen and Victoria College.

Andrew Rabet took 4-23 as St Ouen were bowled out for 106 and Farmers got home with with four balls to spare as Tom Perchard made 31 in a five-wicket win.

Kane Duffy then took 4-9 as Farmers beat Victoria College by seven wickets.

College were bowled out for 82 before Callum Rabet hit 30 as Farmers cruised to their target with more than seven overs in hand.

Sporting Club Francais went level on points with Old Victorians in second place after defeating Victoria College by seven runs.

Ben Beeley hit 66 for Sporting Club as they scored 141-8, with Corne Bedenstein taking 3-12 and Jack Ingle 3-28 for the schoolboys.

In reply, College fell short despite good knocks of 29 from Michael Watkins and 25 by Alexander Cooke.

St Ouen registered their first win of the season to move off the bottom of the table as they beat SCF by 35 runs in the day's other match.

After posting a moderate score of 107-7, St Ouen's bowlers ripped through the SCF batting line-up with former island player Andy Dewhurst taking 5-15 and current Jersey international Anthony Kay picking up three wickets for only eight runs.
