BBC Radio Bristol and BBC Somerset's Anthony Gibson:
"The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the duel between Somerset's 19-year-old fast bowler Jamie Overton and the Durham captain Paul Collingwood.
"Overton was hostile and genuinely quick; Collingwood his usual gritty self, dodging the bouncers and digging out the yorkers.
"It enlivened an otherwise rather stodgy day's cricket. A draw now looks odds on."
