England batsman Joe Root says it is "gutting" to miss out on the ICC World Twenty20 in Bangladesh through a hand injury.

The Yorkshire cricketer fractured his thumb after being struck by a ball during the first Twenty20 international against West Indies at the beginning of March.

Root also believes the lack of pressure for England "could work in their favour" in Bangladesh, as they look to replicate their 2010 tournament victory.
