John Hastings and Calum MacLeod shared a record-breaking stand of 126 as Durham ended their T20 Blast campaign with a five-wicket win over Northants.
Set 196 to win, Durham were in trouble on 73-5 when they came together.
But Hastings hit eight sixes in his 26-ball career-best 80, while MacLeod struck 64 as they shared the biggest partnership in Durham's T20 history to win with five balls to spare.
Adam Rossington had earlier top scored with 52 not out in Northants' 195-3.
Durham's previous best partnership in the shortest format of the game was an unbroken 117 between New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor and Dale Benkenstein against Leicestershire at Chester-le-Street in 2010.
Both sides were already out of the race to qualify for the quarter-finals, with Durham finishing sixth in the North Group and last season's champions Northants seventh.
