BBC Sport - Brian Lara says West Indies cricket 'is going to be alive'

'West Indies cricket will be alive'

Brian Lara insists "West Indian cricket is going to be alive", despite India demanding $42m (£26.2m) after the Windies pulled out of their tour in October.

West Indies great Lara admits the compensation requested is "way beyond us" but does not think the Indian cricket board will be "that severe".

The 45-year-old, who scored 11,953 runs in his 131 Test matches, is "sure" England's scheduled tour of the Caribbean in April 2015 will go ahead.
