Max Sorensen picked up four wickets to help Leinster Lightning secure a six-wicket Inter-Pro win over North West Warriors in Sunday's 50-over game.

The Ireland bowler reduced the Warriors to 21-4 before Andy McBrine (48) and Gary McClintock (62) managed to take the visitors to 211 all out.

Dom Joyce hit a blistering 86 from 71 as Leinster eased to victory on 215-4 from 30.1 overs.

Andrew Poynter chipped in with 61 while Graeme McCarter took two wickets.

Sorensen was in top form and the paceman accounted for Warriors batsmen Craig Averill and Scott Campbell in the first over of the match.

John Anderson and Eddie Richardson each took two wickets as the North West were dismissed in 41.4 overs.

Lightning opener Kenny Carroll departed with the score on three but Joyce and Poynter ensured a comfortable victory.
