Final Ireland-Scotland T20 match washed out

Scotland appeal for an Irish wicket
Scotland won two of the four matches

Ireland were denied the chance of some consolation for their T20 series defeat by Scotland when the final match was washed out by rain at Bready.

"Sweeping showers rendered the pitch unplayable before the cut off time of 4.50pm," reported Cricket Ireland.

It meant that, for the second time in the series, a game was abandoned because of the weather.

After Friday's washout, the Scots beat Ireland by six wickets on Saturday to win the four-match series 2-0.

Scotland had won Thursday's opener by the same margin.
