Leinster Lightning retained the T20 Inter-Provincial title despite slipping to their only defeat of the competition against North West Warriors on Friday.

The Warriors hit 200-6 at Eglinton with David Rankin top-scoring with 76 runs.

John Mooney was the only Leinster batsman to put up any real opposition and finished 110 not out off 68 balls as the visitors lost by 15 runs.

North-West finished second in the table with only one defeat in four outings, with the winless Northern Knights last.

North-West Warriors: 200-6 D Rankin 76, S Thompson 36, J Anderson 2-27

Leinster Lightning: 185-4 J Mooney 110 no, A Poynter 34, C Young 2-32

North-West won by 15 runs.
