Lancashire spinner Stephen Parry is considering a loan move away in a bid to play more Championship cricket.

The 29-year-old has played only nine first-class matches since making his debut in 2007, but remains a key member of the Red Rose one-day and T20 team.

He made his England limited-overs debut last year and has played over 100 games for Lancashire in the shorter formats.

"I'm just a little bit frustrated in regards of never getting the chance to play when it spins," he said.

Left-armer Parry told BBC Radio Lancashire: "I am disappointed as I've worked really hard, my game is in a really good place and you can see how I've done this year.

"It's just the opportunity really, so the loan move is something that I'm looking at because I want to keep progressing as a cricketer."

It is understood that any move away would be subject to an agreement that he would return to Old Trafford for all T20 and one-day matches.
