England opener Adam Lyth found form to help Division One leaders Yorkshire take control against Somerset.
The hosts, who only need 43 more points to be certain of retaining their title, dismissed Somerset for 110 in 35 overs.
Jack Brooks (5-35) was key as the visitors slipped to 36-6 before Luke Ronchi made 25 and Lewis Gregory 24.
Lyth, in his first Championship game since his Ashes series struggles, made 62 and Gary Ballance ended 49 not out as the hosts closed 28 ahead on 138-3.
Somerset, who are only 13 points clear of the Division One relegation zone, made a dreadful start. They lost Marcus Trescothick, Tom Abell, Tom Cooper, James Hildreth and Jim Allenby for single-figure scores.
It was left to the lower order to ensure the visitors reached three figures, with the seventh-wicket partnership of 38 between Gregory and Ronchi being the highest of the innings.
Peter Trego hit four fours in making 19 and Tim Groenewald smashed a six in his unbeaten 15 from 19 balls.
Brooks was well supported by Ryan Sidebottom (2-17) and Steven Patterson (2-42), while there was also a wicket for Tim Bresnan.
In reply, Lyth reached his half-century from 85 balls and put on 65 with Ballance for the second wicket before his two-and-a-half-hour innings was ended by Allenby.
