Royal London One-Day Cup, Fischer County Ground
Leicestershire 279 all out (50 overs): N O'Brien 82, Pettin 50; Christian 2-23
Nottinghamshire 271-9 (50 overs): Wood 52, Smith 49
Leicestershire win by 8 runs
Nottinghamshire's One-Day Cup quarter-final hopes took a blow as they lost to Leicestershire by eight runs.
Luke Wood (52) gave Notts hope of victory, joining Luke Fletcher for a 64-run stand for the eight wicket.
However, Wood was bowled by Cameron Delport (2-43) in the last over.
With the bat, Delport (46) added 58 with captain Mark Pettini (50) as Leicestershire recovered from 27-3 before Niall O'Brien's 82 helped the hosts post a total of 279.
Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire - who beat Lancashire by four wickets on Sunday - find themselves in a must-win scenario in their final group game at Trent Bridge on Monday.
Only a victory would give them a chance of progressing to the last eight as both sides are equal with fourth-placed Warwickshire with seven points from seven games.
