England opener Tammy Beaumont hit an unbeaten 45 as Surrey Stars eased to a seven-wicket bonus-point victory over Lancashire Thunder at Guildford.
Beaumont's assured innings ensured the home side chased down the 103 needed for victory in 15.2 overs
Marizanne Kapp won the game with a four over mid-wicket to keep the hosts in the hunt for a place at Finals Day.
Earlier, England bowler Alex Hartley took 3-11 off her four overs as the away side managed just 102-9.
Surrey took control early on as South Africa international Kapp trapped Hayley Matthews lbw off the second ball, and then had Emma Lamb well caught.
Thunder captain Amy Satterthwaite and Laura Newton shared a 38-run third wicket partnership but England spinners Laura Marsh and Hartley claimed 4-32 in their eight overs as Thunder's middle order collapsed.
After a poor fielding effort saw the Stars beaten by Western Storm on Sunday, a much-improved effort in the field saw three Thunder batters run out as the visitors fell well short of a competitive total on a good batting pitch.
Required to chase down the total within 16 overs to claim the bonus point, Smith and Beaumont got the Stars off to an excellent start with a 53-run first-wicket stand off just 40 balls before the former was caught off Deandra Dottin.
Nat Sciver was dismissed for the first time in the tournament as she was caught by Dottin off fellow West Indian teammate Hayley Matthews.
However, Surrey got over the line with relative ease to all but ensure Thunder will be unable to make the inaugural Super League Finals Day.
