'Excited' Thomas pleased to be back

British cyclist Geraint Thomas believes these are "exciting times" as he returned to track cycling at the European Championships on Friday.

Thomas, who recently helped Mark Cavendish to gold at the road World Championships in Copenhagen, revealed he is "100% focused" on track cycling as the build-up to the London 2012 begins in earnest.

The Welshman, 25, was part of the men's team pursuiters who won European gold on Friday, although he did not compete in the final.
