The former world championship goal medallist from County Down raced alongside Ryan Mullen, Cormac Clarke and Javan Nulty.

The Irish women's team qualified eighth in their pursuit qualifier and they will now race against Italy.

The event is part of the qualification process for the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Lydia Boylan, Lauren Creamer, Caroline Ryan and Melanie Spath started well in the women's pursuit, recording the fourth fastest opening kilometre.

They finished 11.93 seconds behind leaders and defending champions Great Britain.
