Team Sky's Wout Poels leads Tirreno-Adriatico

Dutchman Wout Poels

Dutchman Wout Poels of Team Sky took the overall lead in Italy's Tirreno-Adriatico after victory in stage four.

Poels attacked in the final six kilometres from Indicatore to Castelraimondo and finished 14 seconds ahead of Colombia's Rigoberto Uran.

Gaining 10 bonus seconds for the stage win, Poels moved 17 seconds clear of Uran in the general classification with three stages to go.

Britain's Steve Cummings is 26 seconds back in third place for MTN-Qhubeka.
