Norwich City postpone Norfolk Senior Cup final
Norwich City have postponed this season's Norfolk Senior Cup final in order to protect the Carrow Road pitch.
The Canaries, second in the Championship, have four home games remaining in their push for promotion.
King's Lynn Town were set to face Dereham in the county's showpiece trophy on Tuesday, 5 April.
A new date has yet to be set but the club say they are in talks with the Norfolk Football Association about rescheduling the tie.
The Norfolk Junior Cup final, set for 4 April, and a Football Aid charity match, initially penned in for 5 April, have also been postponed.
City chief executive David McNally told the club website: "We apologise to the Norfolk FA and to the clubs, players and supporters involved in these games for any inconvenience caused by this tough decision we have had to make.
"We want to ensure we do everything possible within our power to support the first team in the vital games remaining this season."
