Carlisle United boss Greg Abbott seeks ruthlessness

Carlisle United boss Greg Abbott believes his side need to find a ruthlessness in front of goal if they are to progress.

The Cumbrians were beaten 1-0 by Leyton Orient despite dominating in possession and chances to extinguish any faint play-off hopes in League One.

"We have got to score more goals," Abbott told BBC Radio Cumbria.

"We have to make sure next season that with superiority in our play we end up with goals."

Abbott added: "We have had too many good opportunities and too many balls in good areas not to score today.

"That is a criticism I don't want to be talking about next season, we have got to get it out of our way now.

"We have got to put people under pressure to put the ball in the back of the net when we have so much better play."

United have scored 60 goals in 44 league games this season.
