Mick Wadsworth key to Nolberto Solano's Hartlepool deal
Hartlepool United midfielder Nolberto Solano has revealed the chance to work with manager Mick Wadsworth was a key factor in his move to Victoria Park.
Solano, 36, left Hull City to link up with Wadsworth, who was assistant boss when Solano was a Newcastle player.
"Mick was one of the main reasons," Solano told BBC Look North.
"Mick will help me to finish my coaching badges, so I can play a little football and at the same time some coaching will be nice."
The former Peru international is best known for his two spells at St James' Park, where he accrued 48 goals in 315 appearances in all competitions.
"I've been playing in the Championship, and I don't think the gap between the Championship and League One is that much," Solano continued.
"It's not like the gap between the Championship and Premier League. I'm just happy to be here and play football.
"Any division is still very tough, it's a great challenge."
