Yeovil Town 1-1 Cardiff City

Kenny Miller made his first appearance for Cardiff City since sealing his transfer on Tuesday as they drew in a pre-season friendly at Huish Road.

Peter Whittingham volleyed Cardiff ahead after 17 minutes on a night on which trialist Craig Fagan and another new signing, Don Cowie, also appeared.

Cardiff controlled the first half but Matt Ehmer headed Yeovil level early in the second from Gavin Williams' cross.

Slovakia Under-21 midfielder Filip Kiss impressed in his first Cardiff start.

Another boost for Cardiff boss Malky Mackay was the return to fitness of Robert Earnshaw after a knock and the striker came off the bench midway through the second half.

Earnshaw replaced Jon Parkin after 63 minutes, with French striker Rudy Gestede also coming on to make his first appearance since finalising his move from Metz.

Miller entered the fray with 13 minutes to go to partner Gestede, but the Scotland captain hardly had a touch as Yeovil finished the game strongly, benefiting from Cardiff's raft of substitutions.

The Bluebirds will end their pre-season fixture schedule by hosting Italian side Parma at Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday.
