Walsall sign Anton Peterlin on a one-year contract
Walsall have signed American midfielder Anton Peterlin on a one-year contract.
The 24-year-old, who becomes manager Dean Smith's eighth summer signing, has spent three weeks on trial at the Banks's Stadium.
Smith told the club website: "He has a decent pedigree and played at this level last season. I think he will prove to be a very useful acquisition."
Peterlin has been a free agent since being released by Plymouth in May.
He moved to England in July 2009 when he signed for Everton, but although he made eight reserve appearances for The Toffees, never played for the first team before being released in June 2010 and joining Plymouth.
