England call-off right decision - Bevington

The Football Association's managing director of Club England Adrian Bevington tells BBC sports news correspondent Dan Roan that the whole England squad was behind the decision to cancel Wednesday's friendly with the Netherlands at Wembley, as unrest affects London and other major English cities.

Bevington says that public safety comes before any football match, and that the "hugely disappointing" choice of calling off the game was taken jointly with the police and the local authority.

Bevington also stated that the "loss is not about money", and confirmed that paying fans will be refunded the cost of their tickets.
