Braintree Town 3-1 Tamworth

Blue Square Bet Premier

A brace for Jai Reason helped Braintree to second place in the Blue Square Bet Premier with victory over Tamworth.

Reason scored his first with a left-footed lob from the edge of the area which looped into the net.

Tamworth levelled within a minute as Liam McDonald latched onto Iyseden Christie's headed knockdown.

Aswad Thomas' left-wing cross was swept in by Andrew Yiadom to put the hosts ahead again and Reason drilled home his second from the edge of the box.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOMS

Braintree Town manager Alan Devonshire told BBC Essex:

Devonshire - Braintree 'worthy winners'

"When we scored, then we've conceded straight away, which was bad on our part.

"We played a bit more narrow in the second half, we've ended up scoring the two goals and were worthy winners in the end again."

"Let's enjoy it - we've won again, it's six on the bounce, and hopefully we can go on from this."
