Worcester City ended their run of four games without a win with a comprehensive victory against Solihull Moors at St George's Lane.

Kevin O'Connor opened the scoring on 39 minutes, connecting with a fine cross from home debutant Simon Brown.

Midfielder Matt Birley doubled the lead just four minutes later with a neat turn and shot from inside the box.

Mike Symons' sixth goal of the season sealed the win which puts City ninth in Blue Square Bet North.

Worcester manager Carl Heeley told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "We have not worked any harder than we did in any other game this season.

"But we listened to what was said, we concentrated and took our chances."

Heeley continued: "I am delighted with everybody tonight.

We have to be more consistent - Heeley

"They responded in the correct manner and they put themselves on the line when they needed to.

"In all honesty the only disappointment was that we should have been four or five up at the break

"If their keeper had not pulled off a couple of wonder saves that would have been the case."
