Dalglish keen not to rush Gerrard

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish admits it is "fantastic" to have captain Steven Gerrard back playing again, but says they are not putting a timescale on when the midfielder will be back to full fitness.

Gerrard made his first appearance in six months in the Reds' 2-1 Carling Cup win at Brighton on Wednesday, but Dalglish wants England to take a "sensible approach" towards the 31-year-old when Fabio Capello picks his squad for the Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro in October.

The Scot also praises new striker Craig Bellamy, who scored in the win agaist Gus Poyet's side, and says they will benefit from the Welshman's desire to prove himself during his second spell at Anfield.
