Culkin names Jersey squad for national cup clash

Jersey manager Craig Culkin has named a 17-man squad for Saturday's FA Inter-League Cup match with the Mid-Sussex Football League.

Jersey Wanderers duo Barry Keith and James Hudson, along with Jersey Scottish's Matt Rawlings and Jordan Rea, have been handed their first call-ups.

The match will be Jersey's first since winning bronze at the Island Games.

Jersey's Island Games rivals Guernsey and the Isle of Man have won the last two Inter-League Cups.

Mid-Sussex lost the the Gloucestershire County League in the preliminary round but went through after their opponents played an ineligible player.

Players have to have never had a professional contract in order to be eligible to play and the tournament's winner represents England at the UEFA Regions Cup.
