Alloa Athletic 1-1 Berwick Rangers

Scottish Football League

Alloa stay third in the Scottish Third Division table despite being held to a draw at home to Berwick.

Graeme Holmes gave the hosts the lead after seven minutes with a close-range left-footed finish, converting Robbie Winters' cross.

Berwick were soon back on level terms, however, when defender Chris McLeod nodded home in the 17th minute after Andrew McLean had headed back across goal.

Ryan McCord had the opportunity to regain the lead for Alloa moments before half-time, but his header from six yards cannoned against the crossbar following good work from Mark McCullagh on the wing.

Ryan Harding thought he had earned all three points for the hosts 15 minutes from time, but his header was brilliantly tipped over by Berwick goalkeeper Jamie Barclay.
