Glasgow City captain Rachel Corsie would accept Team GB call
Glasgow City captain Rachel Corsie has announced she would accept a call-up to the Great Britain Olympic squad.
She joins fellow Scots Jennifer Beattie and Kim Little in hinting that they may play in the tournament.
The Scottish Football Association has opposed players taking part on the basis that it may threaten a separate Scotland team.
"My personal opinion on that is that it wouldn't happen and I would take the opportunity to play," she told the BBC.
Corsie was in the Scotland side which opened their Euro 2013 qualification campaign with a 6-1 win in Israel in midweek.
"I would love to be involved in it," the 22-year-old central defender told BBC Radio Scotland's Sport Nation when asked about the London Olympics.
"Obviously, if it was to the detriment of a Scottish women's team, that would be a shame.
"For me, the Olympics are one of the biggest and most prestigious sporting events in the world.
"To be involved in something like that would be fantastic.
"To turn it down would be an extremely brave decision."
