Godalming Town beat Bodmin Town 5-1 in Tuesday's third qualifying round replay to end their FA Cup dream.

Dan Read scored a hat-trick for the home side while Warren Harris hit two goals to earn them a tie at home to Maidenhead United in the next round.

Chris Luxton scored a penalty for Bodmin, who had Lewis Reed sent off just before half time.

A win for Bodmin would have been the furthest the club had ever progressed in the FA Cup.

Godalming confident of another shock - Read

Godalming Town striker Dan Read told BBC Surrey:

"We couldn't have done it without everyone else. It was a great team performance and we're just happy to be in the hat for the next round.

"Bakes (manager Neil Baker) brought in eight or nine players at the start of the season, so it's a very new side.

"We've gelled brilliantly, we've been on nights out together, everyone loves each other here and it's going really well."
