Maidenhead United manager Johnson Hippolyte has signed a new contract to remain in charge at the Blue Square Bet South club until May 2014.

Hippolyte, who recently celebrated five years in charge it York Road, had been contracted until the end of the season.

His side are currently 14th in the Blue Square Bet South table.

"I'm delighted to keep Johnson at Maidenhead for another two years and we are both really enjoying the buzz about the club," said chairman Peter Griffin.

Griffin added: "The prospect of seeing the current squad develop and progress is really exciting.

"Johnson and his coaching team keep unearthing new talent and it is important to have a stable set-up off the pitch to keep up this good work."
