Port Vale defender Lee Collins says they remain confident of progressing to the second round of the FA Cup.

and face a replay at Blundell Park on Tuesday, 22 November.

"They'll fancy it because their fans were celebrating like they'd won the FA Cup," Collins told BBC Radio Stoke.

"I've played there before. It's a nice ground and the pitch isn't too big, so I think we can go there and do well."

Collins was forced into an immediate return to first-team action against the Mariners after two months out with hernia and groin problems.

Defenders Clayton McDonald and Gareth Owen picked up injuries in a training session on Friday, meaning Collins was paired with John McCombe in the centre of defence, and the former Wolves trainee is confident that the partnership can be a success.

"We played together quite a lot at Hereford in the year we got promoted and we've played together at centre-half a few times here," said Collins, 23.

"I know how John plays and he knows how I play. We use each other's strengths well."
