Guernsey FC have been knocked out of the Combined Counties League's Division One Cup after losing 3-2 at Cobham on Tuesday night.

Cobham scored either side of half-time to take a 2-0 lead before top-scorer Ross Allen, who came on as a substitute, got one back after an hour.

Cobham made it 3-1 four minutes later before Angus Mackay's made it 3-2 with 17 minutes to go.

Allen hit the bar late on but Cobham held on to take the victory.

The loss was only the second defeat the island side have suffered all season in a competitive game.

"I asked the boys to go out and enjoy themselves and just play without fear and they certainly did that," Vance told BBC Guernsey.

"Ultimately our priority is the league, I've always stated that, and to a certain extent hopefully this means we can prioritise and we won't necessarily have any fixture issues when we don't want them."
