Injured Accrington Stanley midfielder Ian Craney has been given the go ahead to resume full training.

The 29-year-old suffered a broken leg and ankle six weeks ago after colliding with team-mate Tom Bender in training.

The former Huddersfield player is in his third spell at Stanley having helped the club win promotion to the Football League in 2006.

He was expected to be out for up to three months but could now make his comeback by Christmas.
