Dalglish admits Donnelly interest

Liverpool manger Kenny Dalglish admits the club have registered an interest in signing Cliftonville striker Rory Donnelly, sarcastically stating: "It was nice of him [Cliftonville chairman Gerard Lawlor] to tell everybody".

Dalglish also praises the contribution of midfielder Jonjo Shelvey, whose early return from a loan spell at Blackpool has provided a timely boost for the Reds in the absence of injured duo Steven Gerrard and Lucas Leiva and the suspended Jay Spearing.

Liverpool visit Wigan in the Premier League on Wednesday.
