Morecambe 2-2 Burton Albion

Play-off hopefuls Morecambe and Burton had to settle for a point apiece after an entertaining encounter.

The Shrimps took the lead when Lewis Alessandra curled home a superb effort that clipped the post on its way in.

Billy Kee equalised when his free-kick took a deflection off Nick Fenton before Calvin Zola bundled the Brewers ahead after Chris Palmer's set piece.

Gary McDonald grabbed a much-deserved leveller for the hosts with a well-struck low drive.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Burton Albion boss Paul Peschisolido told BBC Radio Derby:

Peschisolido disappointed with point

"I think it was a good point away from home, although I think we should've won the game.

"I think we had the majority of chances. Jacques Maghoma had a lot of shots blocked and Cleveland Taylor has had countless crosses blocked.

"We had plenty of crosses where our delivery was good, so it's a bit hard to swallow. I thought we were worthy of three points, but I'm pleased with the one."
