Robbie Matthews has left Newport County to rejoin Salisbury for an undisclosed fee until the end of the 2013 season.

The 29-year-old striker previously enjoyed a three-year spell with the Whites - his hometown club - but left in 2009 to join Kidderminster Harriers.

He returned to the Ray Mac earlier this season on loan and has recently spent time with Forest Green Rovers.

Matthews scored five goals in 44 games for Newport during his 18-month spell with the Blue Square Bet Premier club.

Salisbury have also captured goalkeeper Willem Puddy from Chippenham Town and midfielder Stuart Sinclair from Arlesey Town.
