Genoa star Kevin Constant will miss the Nations Cup
Genoa's Kevin Constant will miss the Africa Cup of Nations after failing to make Guinea's final 23-man squad.
The 24-year-old's absence will be a big blow for coach Michel Dussuyer, with Guinean media reporting that Constant asked to be excused from the finals.
Former France U21 player Abdoul Razzagui Camara does make the squad even though Fifa has yet to confirm his switch of national allegiance.
Both Pascal Feindouno and Dianbobo Balde are set for their fourth finals.
Guinea are currently in Ivory Coast where they are training for the tournament at Asec Mimosas' base in Abidjan, the commercial capital of Ivory Coast.
Guinea will compete in Group D with Botswana, Ghana and Mali in the Gabonese town Libreville.
The 2012 Africa Cup of Nations runs from 21 January to 12 February.
