Albion Rovers 0-1 Stirling Albion

Scottish Football League

An early goal by Craig McLeish gave Stirling Albion victory over Albion Rovers.

McLeish picked the ball up on the edge of the area and drilled an unstoppable effort into the bottom corner after 11 mintues.

Anthony Stevenson tested Stirling's Callum Reidford on the stroke of half-time, the goalkeeper tipping away the rasping drive.

Scott Chaplain shot wide from six yards as the hosts pressed after the break.

Stirling almost scored a second when John Crawley's stunning effort hit the crossbar.

Crawley was shown a straight red card for violent conduct in the final minute of regulation time but the visitors held on for victory.
