Ebbsfleet Utd 3-0 Tamworth

Nathaniel Pinney scored two and set up one as Ebbsfleet claimed victory over Tamworth.

The Lambs missed a glorious chance to take the lead when Kyle Patterson saw his penalty saved by Preston Edwards.

The hosts made them pay as Liam Enver-Marum latched on to Pinney's pass to score with a clinical finish.

Pinney then doubled the hosts' advantage with a fine strike before grabbing his second when his long-range effort found the bottom corner.

Clinical finishing delights Daish

Ebbsfleet United manager Liam Daish tells BBC Radio Kent:

"It was a tough, tight game and we rode our luck a little bit. We scored three great goals and I'm pleased for the lads.

"It's a big three points against a team around us.

"The difference between the first half and the second half was that we were clinical. We soaked up the pressure and when we did spring an attack, we came out of the traps and our finishing was clinical.

"Tamworth are a decent side. They have pace; their movement is good; they are strong. It was a tough battle tonight and the lads will draw confidence from that."
